About
Kivolaro is built around a simple belief: most small businesses don't need more software — they need software that fits how they actually work.
Kivolaro is a custom software and AI automation studio founded in 2026 by Facundo Menendez. We work with U.S. small businesses with 1–50 employees who have outgrown spreadsheets and generic SaaS but don't need (or want) an enterprise consulting engagement. The work is done by the founder directly, with a small bench of specialized contractors when needed.
Most small businesses I work with don't have a software problem. They have a process problem that's been hidden by software.
A spreadsheet became the operations system. A CRM became a contact dump. A handful of automations became a fragile chain that breaks once a month. The team works around the system instead of with it.
Generic SaaS can't fix this — it's built for averages, not your business. Enterprise consulting is too slow and too expensive. Hiring an in-house developer is risky for a 20-person company.
Kivolaro fills that gap: a small, fast, founder-led studio that designs and builds the smallest system that actually solves the problem, then leaves you with documentation your team can operate.
Facundo Menendez is the founder and principal of Kivolaro. He works directly with each client, from the diagnostic conversation to the final handoff — there are no account managers, no junior developers learning on your dime.
Background: years of experience designing and building software for small and medium-sized businesses across operations, automation, internal tooling, and AI. Stack he’s shipped to production: Next.js, Node.js, Python, Bubble, Retool, Airtable, Supabase, n8n, Make, Zapier, OpenAI / Anthropic APIs.
Before writing any code, we map how your business actually operates today: who does what, where work breaks, what tools you already use, and what “good” would look like in 30 days.
You see working pieces every 1–2 weeks. We never disappear for a month and reappear with a finished system. Stages reduce risk and let us catch wrong assumptions early.
Every engagement leaves behind a methods document, Loom walkthroughs, editable diagrams, and access notes. If we got hit by a bus tomorrow, your team can keep running the system.
AI is a tool, not a strategy. We apply it where the cost-per-task or quality-per-task is meaningfully better. Most projects use AI in 1–3 specific spots, not as a top-to-bottom replacement.
Kivolaro is founder-led, which means the same person who scopes your project also builds it. For specialized work (UI design, QA testing, specific integrations) we bring in trusted contractors. You always know who's doing what.
Kivolaro operates remotely and works with U.S. clients in U.S. business hours. All meetings, deliverables, and contracts are in English (Spanish available).
Smaller studios trade headcount for clarity. You get the founder, faster decisions, and tighter scope. The trade-off: we don't take on huge teams or year-long programs. If your project needs 5 engineers for a year, hire an agency. If it needs the right person for 3–8 weeks, we're a better fit.
We sign mutual NDAs when needed. We don't use client work for marketing without explicit permission, and case studies are always anonymized unless agreed otherwise.
Most client work is under NDA, so we share anonymized walkthroughs in discovery calls instead of public case studies.
